Flamort Flam-Gard is a fire retardant varnish which retains the natural beauty of fine wood grains and dries to a low satin finish. It is recommended for use on interior wall paneling, ceiling panels and similar wood surfaces.

SURFACE PREPARATION: Previously coated surface must be clean and dry. Remove any loose or scaling varnish. Unfinished wood or bare areas must be sealed with varnish sealer before applying FLAM-GARD.

APPLICATION: Stir Contents Thoroughly. Apply by spraying or brushing. Heavy-duty spray equipment is recommended. If thinning is required, use xylene sparingly. For brushing, apply liberally; avoid excessive spreading and re-working. Apply at coverage rate of 300 s.f. per gallon. Allow to dry a minimum of 24 hours or until completely dry. Apply second coat at same coverage rate. For surface areas that are subject to hard wear or exposed to water, apply FLAM-GARD SEMI-GLOSS OVERCOAT VARNISH. Allow at least 48 hours drying time before applying overcoat. Use xylene for cleaning equipment. Pre-test a small area with system before starting project.

WARNING: Do not take internally. Adequate ventilation must be provided during and after application until coating has dried. Avoid prolonged contact with skin and breathing of vapors. Varnish is flammable. Do not use near open flame. Close container after each use. Keep out of reach of children.
